The Application Process
The Application Process
01
Applicants fill out an online application on the Blueprint website. The application asks for things such as work samples and answers to essay questions. After receiving the applications, E-team and the project leaders go through all the applicants and determine a fraction, roughly 4 times the number of available positions, to move on to the next stage.

After receiving the applications, E-team and the project leaders go through all the applicants and determine a fraction, roughly 4 times the number of available positions, to move on to the next stage.
02
Applicants participate in an event known as BP Games. Applicants are randomly divided into teams of 4 people each along with a Blueprint member who will serve as their “project leader” over the course of the game. They will then be tasked with solving various challenges ranging from application design to tower building. Throughout this process, the “project leaders” as well as other observing Blueprint members will evaluate the applicants on relevant skills. Afterwards, all Blueprint members who participated in BP Games will deliberate and select half the applicants, roughly 2 times the number of available positions, to move on to the final stage.
03
The E-team and the project leaders often conduct coffee chats with the applicants. Coffee chats are one-on-one informal meetings between applicants and Blueprint members. They allow the applicant to get a better idea about Blueprint from the member and allow the member to speak with them in a more casual setting in case they are the type to get overly nervous during formal interviews.
04
The final stage is a five-on-one interview by the project leaders. Here applicants are asked a range of questions assessing anything from their experience, motivations, knowledge and values. After conducting interviews, the project leaders deliberate and determine the new members to accept into Blueprint.
